Don't be held to ransom by any player. If he wants double money or an amount which will be detrimental on how we're building a squad then let him go. No one player is bigger than the club.
Renegotiate what he's worth and offer him the deal, if he doesn't want it and wants the move for more money then let him go, it's his life, he wants to move for more money fair play to him.

We'll be just fine. However, I'd be interested on how Warrington are fitting so many big names under the cap. Williams must be their marquee.

Well I truly hope it doesn't happen, but if George does decide to join Wire at least at the end of his career he'll be able to look back with pride on his one GF win.

On reflection, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Wigan had a further option on George for 2018.

If so, that means that, unless we accept a transfer fee - which surely we wouldn't! - he's with us until 2019 at least.

And by then, I suppose - he'd nearly be 25 - he might seriously be looking at a stint Down Under.

I think that Williams was scheduled in for surgery on his back after the four nations. I suspect that will have more to do with it.
