In his statement Savelio said he didn't report it at the time because he was going to handle it himself but Clubb was subbed off shortly after so he reported it to the ref instead.

Clubb was about 10 yards away after the tackle but something gets said by savelio and Clubb waddles over and then there's the head to head after which savelio could have got the referee's attention

For all the talk of who’s the better full back Hardaker or Connor, I think the more pertinent question for Wigan fans is Hardaker or French?

French looks dangerous from the back, and I was glad he was out on the wing today.

I'm not defending Clubb and if he he did say that then he should suffer the consequences be it a long ban or even Wigan sacking him. However watching it again the "incident" appears to happen in the 14th minute, but Savelio doesn't report it for another 20 minutes (34th minute).
There were many opportunities for him to report it to the referee, just watch Sam Powells reaction!

Neither Hardaker or Connor are in the same bracket as Tomkins. Like it or not Connor cost Hull that game with his petty antics.
