I honestly believe that when it comes to merchandising the club have adopted the Ratners approach. Chep quality crapola targetted at folk who'll buy any old tat because it's in the Wigan shop. Either that or the club are skint and can't afford any kind of half hearted investment in this area.
The bulk of the gear appears to be aimed at mouthbreathers & the under 5's. Some of it hasn't changed since they sold gear out of that wooden hut on the Hen Pen. It's truly, TRULY woeful. I'd like to meet the guy responsible for designing the gear, just to ask him what the thought process is? Who is it aimed at? It wouldn't surprise me if I saw that Warriors fleece make a reappearance. The one with the black body, red arms with WARRIORS written down the sleeve.
