I just don't see the point of them. Fair enough if you want to have a break from tradition, but the home kit is just pink. That's not a break from tradition, thats just idiotic.



The away kit would look a lot better if they just hadn't carried the W onto the sleeves, if they were solid blue it may look a bit better. But I still don't get the point of it.

Looking at the photo seems to be a mad rush to buy the new Shit. Hoops sorry missed the R.

Good post BK, some may feel differently but I personally feel the shirt designs are important as I want our players to be successful wearing a strip which is synonomous with Wigan RL.



That's the main problem for me - Yes the kits both look awful but they also have no connection whatsoever with the famous Wigan brand.

Any sign of the Champions badges?

That's something I don't get. I'd have thought one of the main draws of this year's shirts was to have the champions logo on but the ones in the shop I saw didn't have them on.

Fair point - but there's still the aspect that the club has missed out on a potentially significant income stream, if comments on here and elsewhere do translate into poor sales, as seems likely.

The Cherry and White strip is the greatest in RL and it's appalling to see it ruined like this, and frankly IL and the club management have gone down in my estimation for allowing the legacy of the club to be tarnished in this way.







And don't get me started on the away shirt, it's an abomination and seems only to exist to show that a shirt worse than the home shirt is actually possible.





Still, let's look on the bright side - we have the best squad, the best coaching staff, the best fans. The club remains the greatest in RL and is poised for another golden era.

The home shirt looks better every time I see it.

If we the fans picked the design then it would be the traditional cherry and white hoops every year. I actually liked the broad hoops of the Jimmy Nulty era.

The Sydney Opera house would never have been built if we didn't try new designs.

I think we will all get used to the new shirt and it won't be mentioned part way through the season when we are chalking up the victories.

The club could/should learn from this error. It would be a terrible idea to run a vote on the site as that would leave it open to mischief makers and would also spoil any surprise when the kit is announced.



No offence to IL but we can't rely on the fashion sense of a 60+ year old man to pick our kit. Ask some of the players or select some fans to look at it. The club has 11,000ish season ticket holders. Why not send a letter to a good age spread of 100/200 of them with a few designs on. They'll return these and the design can be sorted from there. Another idea is there's a gang of 20+ flag people on here who are regularly involved with the club (In an unofficial way

) and their ages range from late teens to Rogues Gallery. Why not ask them for some input??

I agree with this, select 100 season ticket holders at random, with a broad range of ages and show them potential designs and gather feedback. Even if they don't follow what the fans want by the letter, they will at least have an idea what the fans want.
