Newsnight 13th May 2010: "With the role of Deputy Prime Minister a non-job. Has Nick Clegg gone from King Maker to tea maker????"

I kept the faith and I kept voting
Not for the iron fist but for the helping hand
For theirs is a land with a wall around it
And mine is a faith in my fellow man
Theirs is a land of hope and glory
Mine is the green field and the factory floor
Theirs are the skies all dark with bombers
And mine is the peace we knew
Between the wars

He would rather not draw breath than coach us. The man hates us.

Hands up, I wasn't there tonight, and I wasn't at Hull. I'm as stunned as anyone at the start we've made but is sacking Noble and replacing him with god know's who the answer... really?! Sounds to me like certain players need to pull their digits out of their rear ends.

the buck stops with the coach/manager every time

im so sad to say this , but going to the game tonight was hard work , if i didnt have aseason ticket i would not have payed to watch them , does that make me a bad fan ? no .....

wigan is in my blood , im wigan through and through , but its just not enjoyable anymore

i would rather take my chance with a new coach than sit through this all year

That being said I don't think Hanley is the man to turn it around. I think the last thing we need is a coach who is only concerned about his own ego.

Yeah but thats not Hanley is it. If he was concerned about his own ego he wouldn't have gone down scrapping to Doncaster.

He won the Grand Final with Saints and he did a great job with Doncaster, the man is a pure winner and commands respect wherever he goes. I hope he doesn't go to Wigan because I want him to go to Warrington but he would be a fantastic choice as coach.

There's a lot of crap talked about Hanley being ego-driven which I just don't se, he's one of the most unselfish and best mannered people in the game.

Would IL stump up the cash for Hanley.

When you have that answer, realise this discussion is over.

Who knows one day Wigan might be able to match the financial resources of Doncaster.
