The Yorkshire influence : Sat Feb 21, 2009 11:14 pm
I can't help wondering if Wigan is not the place for those from the White Rose County to succeed. I'm struggling to think of a top notch coach we have had from Yorkshire, the likes of Bamford and Goodway simply didn't do it.
On the playing front, Hanley, Goodway, Gill I'm clutching at straws again.
I think there is a different ethos in Lancashire, it's hard work commuting as I think Noble still does. You just don't get the vibe of the town.
I think I can say this without too much of a partisan view, I have worked in Yorks for nearly 20 years although have managed to avoid living there so far. They just don't think the same.
