Sezer seems to have fought his way back into favour at Canberra. Jack Wighton has the 6 shirt nailed down, its whether Sezer sees the writing on the wall with the arrival of Williams. You'd think that Sezer could get a run out somewhere in the NRL though. The other 7 in the mix at Canberra is Sam Williams who has already spent some time in SL. I'd be disappointed but not surprised if we don't get linked with him at some stage.
Sam Williams wouldn’t be a bad option in my opinion. It does however again depend on who we have to partner him.
Fingers crossed we have Hastings. He for me would be the perfect signing for Wigan right now.
If we have Hastings who is a young dominant half who plays a little off the cuff then I think a controlling kicking structured organiser would be a great foil for him.
Sezer isn’t that type of player I don’t think he would compliment Hastings, too similar in the way they play the game.
Malloney would be the dream to combine with Hastings as he is exoerienced and is that controlling style half, but is he realistic? I’m not so sure.
Then you look at Sam Williams. He is an organiser with a great kicking game.
He was very good at Catalans although struggled a bit at Wakefield one week he would run the show the next he would be anonymous. This however I think was due to being paired with Finn, a very similar player for long periods of that season. He seemed to combine much better with Miller.
Since his return to the NRL Williams has being going really well when he has played in that organising role.
If it was a choice of pairing Hastings with Tommy, Sammut or Sam Williams, i’d personally be made up with Sam.
I don’t expect it will happen though.
I think if we sign Hastings we have the lads he will be pairing with in the club already, most likely Sammut.
