Yes although I'm starting to feel a bit of sympathy for Salford - they'll have no-one left.

Looks to be a matter of time before they're a part-time Championship club.

We’ll find out soon enough. If we can get the right signings in then gaps can close very quickly. The one thing we can always hold on to when it comes to hoping we can bounce back is the production line. We’ve seen with Smithies the level of talent we’ve got coming through but they need the right quality around them. If we get that then it becomes far easier for Smithies, Harry Smith, Havard etc to develop in to the players they’re capable of becoming.

It’s as big an off seasons period of recruitment for the club as I can remember in along while.

I think our major recruitment will cover the next two/three years. I have a feeling that Lockers and Tommy will go round again next season and then they will be replaced in 2021. Clubb, Smmut and Flower will go at the end of 2021. I believe we will sign one halfback but I am not confident of acquiring two or a hooker.

I agree but Canberra will have no sympathy for us and I don’t think we will be going for him anyway.

You don’t have a centre in your team because he can kick. Sarg is twice the player of both of them.

Completely disagree. Sarginson has always been weak when it comes to one on one defence. His passing is very poor and he has a headless chicken approach when carrying the ball. In his favour is his work ethic and his speed but he lacks enough skill to be a top centre. His form the last two games is as good as I’ve seen from him since the 2016 grand final.
Hankinson hasn’t had enough time in the centre to prove himself consistently but has already demonstrated he’s a better defender. He works hard too. What both lack is a creative player inside them on that side. Fill that void and I reckon we’ll have a very good centre who can kick goals.

Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.

If Hankinson is our first choice centre next year Donald may aswell push that f*ing red button now.

I disagree! Sarg has struggled with form, probably due to lack of creativity from our half’s and also struggled with injuries. In full form he is work class and has proved it.

Nothing against Hankinson but at his best he’s an average Superleague player.

Are you really saying you would rather have Hankinson? Jesus

Sarge World class or work class as you e typed? If you meant world class I’d have to ask if are u his Dad or something? Sarge is a grafter but lacks the skill to be considered anything more than a reasonable centre. Would I prefer Hankinson? On the limited game time he’s had, including his kicking ability yes I would. I did However qualify my comment by saying he hasn’t had enough time to prove himself consistently. I suspect that might change the next few weeks!

In my opinion Sarg was up there in the season he played against the Aussies and was the best player on the pitch in the grand final.

This is why he got the shot in the NRL, admittedly it didn’t work out and he’s struggled since.

However he is a lot better than Hankinson, Hankinson is a decent squad player but that’s it.

Hopefully we are freeing cap space up to bring a strike centre in. Won’t hold my breathe
