After Sinfield talking about a "Rotten Culture" perhaps he's glad to get out of there.
Still a big loss for Leeds. Newman as good as he is and will be he still isn't as good or as important to Leeds as Watkins.

Heard today that we offered Watkins £230K a year and we were very close to getting him. Same source (a current SL player) also stated we’ve got Hastings.

So near yet so far with Watkins. I can only assume he's looking for a beach resort to retire in, because Gold Coast are nothing to write home about.

230k?! Thank the Lord we didn’t get him at that price but it would be encouraging that we offered that sort of money if there’s any truth in it.

That was my thought too. If we are prepared to offer anything like that for Watkins it’s a clear demonstration that we have funds available and we’re prepared to spend it.

Lam doesn’t seem to fancy Paisley and it sounds like he'll be let go come the end of the season. I find that a bit strange tbh as he looks to have some potential and looked pretty comfortable in the first team.

I’d be wary of Watkins, his age and coming off an ACL injury and Leeds playing him in the second row, he’s on the down, 5 years ago I’d have paid that.
