Sezer seems to have fought his way back into favour at Canberra. Jack Wighton has the 6 shirt nailed down, its whether Sezer sees the writing on the wall with the arrival of Williams. You'd think that Sezer could get a run out somewhere in the NRL though. The other 7 in the mix at Canberra is Sam Williams who has already spent some time in SL. I'd be disappointed but not surprised if we don't get linked with him at some stage.

Yes I remember Sam Williams at Cats if I remember rightly.

Which is funny, as at the start of the season he was utterly dreadful and they were winning despite him kicking the ball out on the full 2-3 times a game. I dont particualrly rate him as an NRL-calibre standoff, amazing he gets an SOO gig.

Great assist for Gagai last time out I recall. Shame he’s on the other team.

Sam Williams wouldn’t be a bad option in my opinion. It does however again depend on who we have to partner him.

Fingers crossed we have Hastings. He for me would be the perfect signing for Wigan right now.

If we have Hastings who is a young dominant half who plays a little off the cuff then I think a controlling kicking structured organiser would be a great foil for him.

Sezer isn’t that type of player I don’t think he would compliment Hastings, too similar in the way they play the game.

Malloney would be the dream to combine with Hastings as he is exoerienced and is that controlling style half, but is he realistic? I’m not so sure.

Then you look at Sam Williams. He is an organiser with a great kicking game.

He was very good at Catalans although struggled a bit at Wakefield one week he would run the show the next he would be anonymous. This however I think was due to being paired with Finn, a very similar player for long periods of that season. He seemed to combine much better with Miller.

Since his return to the NRL Williams has being going really well when he has played in that organising role.

If it was a choice of pairing Hastings with Tommy, Sammut or Sam Williams, i’d personally be made up with Sam.

I don’t expect it will happen though.

I think if we sign Hastings we have the lads he will be pairing with in the club already, most likely Sammut.

I think the last sentence will be more that likely. Bringing in a new 6 and 7 would be amazing, but I can see Hastings/whoever partnering Sharrocks/Tommy in the halves.

If I was a betting man, I'd say we'll start 2020 with Sharrocks and Sammut as our 6 and 7 with Powell as our 9.

Save me a few bob on my season ticket if that was the case. I was in two minds this year but took the plunge on the back of the Lam/Edwards ticket

There's no way that will happen. I'd take any bet on that.

Heard Hastings is done, won't be announced until after the Salford game.
Lam done and dusted as coach as well.

Hearing that Sarge has defo signed for Salford.

Wonder if it’s true and possibly related to us pinching another Salford player...
