Under 18 on the 1st September 2019 for the 2020 season. It's changed for next season from being U19.
Basically now it's a two year academy (U17 and U18) instead of three year.

Escare was going well for Wakey, I'm lost as to why anyone would think he's fallen behind an 18 year old who hasn't debuted or even been given a squad number. Has Hanley even played any games in League 1 or Championship yet? I'm excited to see what he goes on to achieve if he fulfills his potential but let's calm down a bit. We should be looking to DR him to Swinton/Widnes/Oldham to see how he gets on playing against grown men, not use him as our reserve full back.

He will be first choice full back for the reserves. hanley will play 18s then reserves the year after when Escare has moved on. This will be Escare last year at wigan unless things change

Kruise Leeming had a transfer request accepted by Huddersfield Giants.

Leeds bound I believe.

A real shame as I have rated him highly for a few years now and think he would have been an excellent addition to our squad.

Ripped us to pieces at the DW last year, Leeds look like they're assembling a pretty decent pack.

Genuine question; how good is Hanley? I've never seen him play. I wouldn't ever want to make comparisons with him and his father; just interested in how he's developing and if he's got what's needed to potentially push for a place in the senior team.

I think Leeming (or Lussick) would have been the last piece of an excellent jigsaw for us. I still see 9 as our weak area when we’re in possession.

I don’t think you could anyway bud, two completely different positions. He is a good player from what I’ve seen. Good game sense, quick and good defensive skills.

I appreciate to some my post from earlier may indicate I’m calling for Hanley to be put in the 1st team - I’m not. I just reckon if it was a straight shoot between him and Escare for the 17 Hanley would win IMO.

I've only seen him last season in the reserves but he is a brilliant player against the same age group opposition and he is a nice person as well unlike his father
