Who would you expect to be the next of the new(ish) crop to make the grade. There are some good lads who have stood out at junior level or done well on loan. Often they leave without ever making the first team. A couple filled in last year when they were clearly not ready and I hope that it is not held against them. I would imagine that Wells and Higginson will have a run out but what are the chances for the likes of Fell who did well at a lower level?

Looking forward to Nick Gregson and Liam Forsythe getting a few chances next season. And I wonder if Connor Farrell will have improved after his injury plagued year at the Vikings.

All of them are decent prospects in their own way to be honest. Each one has the potential.

He smashed it on the England academy tour down under apparently. That's always a good indicator of a players ability going off the sort of performances guys like John Bateman and Joe Burgess have produced in the past.

Here's hoping the Aussie scouts didn't like him too much.

Conor Farrell will not make it at Super League level. Swinton Lions 2018 all over him I'm afraid.

He has every opportunity to nail down a regular spot in the next couple of years with Lockers presumably retiring next year and Joel Tomkins struggling for form and fitness. It would be great to have the option to replace Lockers internally and use the cap space on a top scrum half.
