According to The Observer a list has been leaked of those who will not be offered new contracts. It includes Field, Forsyth and Joe Brown. It also lists those whose futures have not been sorted including SOL. Interestingly Tommy L and Budgie are not in either list giving credence to the suggestion that their futures are sorted one way or the other.

Kind if sad that when Bradford had to release some players we got Brown who we are now releasing and Cas got Trueman.

Surprised with Brown being let go but they probably think it’s best for his career given that he’s got numerous players to try and get in front of here.

Tony Clubb not being on the list makes you think he’s signed an extension. I find that a little surprising tbh. I’ve loved watching him at times here and he seems a real top bloke but he’s got a lot to prove. If he is to stay on he needs to shed some bulk IMO to try and up his fitness and mobility.

I would keep Joe Brown and release Mullen.

I was always impressed with Joe Brown when I watched him play but one game did worry me. That was the academy grand final last year. He looked a bag of nerves and made 4 or 5 errors in the game. With all due respect to the academy league, if that is getting to you then first team rugby would be a huge leap.

It was probably just an off day but it did make me wonder.

I reckon it's an old list, rumour has it Burgess has been sorted. Surely Clubb has to go. He's about as much use as a button on a sock.

Who leaked this list?
Last week it was TotalRL saying an email stated we were releasing seven players but the email wasn't from the club.
This week there's another "leak".
No one is suggesting this one is from the club either.
Accurate info or concocted gos?

If Clubb isn’t on that list then by all accounts it means he’s signed an extension with us, has decided to retire or he’s signed elsewhere. I doubt it’s either of the last two.

It’s always looked like a struggle for him getting his body around the field but not quite the struggle it looks this season. Maybe he has just decided he’s put himself through enough punishment. He’s had some shocking injury problems and health concerns to deal with. I’ll always respect the bloke for his efforts at Wigan. He’s certainly not been a Tautai or Navarette but time catches up with you.
