I believe beer (after a fashion) is available in Australia. I thought Sutton had his best game by far for Canberra this week.

If it sounded bad on the radio it was worse live. We look like a total rabble and if we do indeed train fantastically well in the week, we certainly aren’t taking it in to games. I’m not going to bag Tautai’s horror show too much. He’s a very small part of a much much bigger problem.

Hardaker seemed to tweak something chasing back on the Kleinhorst intercept try. He played in till half time but didn’t take the goal kicks. He may miss a couple of weeks but not a long term one I’d have thought.

The amount of basic errors was utterly embarrassing. We have no direction or shape to our attack bar one or two exceptions. Our kicking game is beyond words.

Sarginson deserves credit for his switch to fullback. To hell with it, give him a go there - seems to be his best position.

Sarginson had a good game in both positions I thought and showed why I think we should keep him as a utility back.

You’re 100% on the lack of direction. There is nobody talking, pointing the way or trying to take control. It’s totally individual stuff and we don’t look like we’re being coached at all. I said I’d give Lammy until 15-20 games in before passing judgement and all I can say is it doesn’t look pretty. We’re going backwards and there are no signs of things clicking. The best sides have an identity and a way of playing but I don’t have the first clue what we’re trying to achieve. It’s not structured play, it’s not an offloading game plan, there’s no support runners, no set moves and so on.
