Just spotted that, he's no world beater that's for sure but he's the only half back we've got with a kicking game, hope he's ill or got a minor knock because it'll be bloody depressing if the coaching staff still think Leuluai/Powell are better options :(

He admitted he was rushed back for the Magic game due to a lack of options and said the knee didn’t feel 100% when interviewed in the week following the game. I guess it’s probably not quite right.

As near as a full team you can expect at this stage of a season. I don't think that Sammut has actually played a full game this season so shouldn't be seen as a big loss.

Lam was spouting off before the season how well Shorrocks was training so it's sbout time he did something/anything to justify his position in the squad.

We are playing second from bottom who have lost I think 6 of their last 7 games with virtually a full squad so it should be a walk in the park if we've got anything like a team.

Shorrocks went pretty well at seven IMO and was growing game by game but then got left out against Wire in the cup. He was brought back in as a hooker and was absolutely abysmal at Anfield, especially in defence.

I doubt he’ll be at Wigan in 2020. Isn’t his contract up? If so and he wasn’t announced as extending on our mega marathon day of thrills, spills and surprises yesterday then he’s probably heading for the exit.

Do you not think he might do a job as bench hooker if Leuluai calls it a day (coming on partway through the game for Powell)? I think that would make sense given that the former heir apparent Ganson has gone, and Borough has only played one game. That's if teams continue to go with two hookers of course. The interchange reduction could see the return of the 80 min hooker.

I’d worry about him defensively at hooker on a regular basis tbh but maybe it was just an off day at Anfield. Hand on heart I think the lad is not quite at the level needed to be a regular starter at a top end superleague club. Maybe we’re not that anymore anyway but if we want to be then I guess we’ll part ways.

As sad as it is to admit, we're a far better team with Sammut playing.

Borough or Roden really should be given some game time soon, two of the best young hookers in the country and our current hooking options are shambolic, only way the two will kick onto the next level is if they’re given a chance
