Radlinski should step down, he’s not strong enough or experienced enough to be in the role

I think I have to agree and someone alluded to it previously that a lot of what has gone wrong at the club has occurred since IL went to the football league which probably took up most of his time and so the likes of Rads were left in charge. Although he has since left that post and it seems to have carried on.

I wouldn't get shut of Rads from the club completely but I would move him more into a role focused on the on-field activities and bring someone else in to deal with the day-to-day running of the club.

Sadly, I’m inclined to agree. I think Wane would be an ideal candidate personally but it depends if he’s willing to work so closely with Lenagan.

He has the business acumen (keynote speaking, cleaning business and so on), could address the culture, develop player pathways (that he was key in implementing), communicate with fans etc.

First Hardaker, then the academy player (his name eludes me!), Hamlin with a failed drugs test and now TT? Throw in the Edwards debacle and the poor season we’re having and it all points to a complete and utter breakdown of discipline within the club.

I can’t for certain say it’s all due to SW’s departure, we’d be kidding ourselves if we said there weren’t issues during his tenure (the rectum ‘scandal’ for example) but these controversies just seem to keep rolling every month and it’s hard not to say that SW leaving has a huge role to play in it, after all he WAS the culture at Wigan. And I’m saying that as a leading “W-Exiteer”; I’ll happily admit I, and a few others, were short sighted perhaps in seeing the rugby on the pitch only and ignoring the professionally driven culture behind the scenes.

I’ve been saying this for a while but the whole club needs a complete revamp, top to bottom - and that includes Mr Lenaghan and somewhat regrettably, Kris Radlinski. The players, coaching staff and club officials need revamping, refreshing, and improving. That requires a lot of investment and frustratingly time.

I can’t recall a Warrington or Saints scandal in recent times (happy to be corrected) and that is indicative of where they stand in the league and cup. A few years ago we were the club everyone else aspired to be, successful on the pitch and off it market leaders in some respects. Now we’re a laughing stock, a prime example of what mis-management, poor recruitment and indiscipline on and off the field gets you. It’s sad and disappointing to see, we can of course bounce back but Mr Chairman needs to dip his hands into his pockets and if he isn’t willing to do so - sell up.

Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.

The only person to have shown interest in the past has been Trevor Hemmings who puts in 4,000,000 a year at Preston but he is notable for being tight with money.

An issue onto itself. Entering the realms of dreams here admittedly but someone who is willing to spend the money required. I’d like to point out I’m only for that if he isn’t willing to invest to rectify the issues, one would hope and presume he is willing to do so in the first instance.

That's always the problem. People talk as if it would be a quick fix.

IL has won us much silverware during his tenure. He's also in the process of giving us a brand-new Wigan Warriors HQ right next to the stadium.

We're all upset with the way things are going, but I think people should be careful what they wish for.

Don’t misunderstand my point - I do not wish for IL to sell up, on the contrary I want him to invest where it’s needed and rectify the clear issues we have. If he can’t - why? If he is unwilling to do so, then regrettably it’s time to sell up which as you and I have correctly pointed out is not as a quick fix or simple as the phrase initially sounds.

Agreed, that’s the point I was trying to make. It would be like Wane out all over again.

Sports clubs are notorious money pits. We have been lucky that Lenagan - as a fan - has been willing to pump his money into it at a rate of six figures per year.

He’s pumped his money in, we’ve won trophies and crowds have decreased. Meaning more money is needed.

I’d love for a multi millionaire Wigan fan to come out the blue and fund big name signings but they’re few and far between. The grass isn’t always greener.
