From being in the lads/kids pen in the late 1950's to the final game at Central park - lots of memories. My abiding memory though was being there when they beat Manly in front of what must have been about 40,000 that night. The fireworks crashing onto the school roof at one point. The deafening roar of the Central park faithful . I was with my late dad that night near the scoreboard - he was only about 5ft 6in tall but we saw all the game from that vantage point.
DW is alright. But it will never have the aura, the history, or the atmosphere of Central park.
