Some Salford fan said to me and I quote "You are by far and away the most Handsome & Knowledgeable Rugby League Fan in England!"

I thanked him and went on my Merry way!

Decent attendance last night. With regards the play off games they need to incorporate those games into the season tickets so if your team is lucky enough to finish in the play offs you get those games on your season ticket as a bonus.

As pieman says they are RFL events so we can't

But if we could

That would mean losing the revenue from the 5/6/7 thousand people who do go and giving them.away for nothing.
If we increase the ST just in case we make play offs then dont people will complain about ST prices and not getting anything for the extra money.

IL has already stated that despite getting equal, maybe slightly more ST holders this year then last the income has gone down due to initiatives theyve tried (Free for u7s, cheaper ST for juniors in east stand etc.).

The club need to make more money not less

And I'm not sure how having more Specators on for less money is a good way to move forward when your cheapening the value of it.

I was surprised at the free admission age going up to U8. I paid for my grandson last year and it's free for him this season.
Hopefully the RP Arena match event for fans will bring new money into the club. Was good last night.
Recommend it for anyone who didn't go in there.

tight fisted but paid for a season ticket? really?

Supporters buy them because they get a discount on the match day price, but many are tight fisted when it comes to supporting the club on non season ticket games, especially Challenge Cup ties and Play Off games if on television.

Any true and loyal supporter will pay like I have in all the years I have supported WIgan.

And before anyone says it, I will have a Blue Peter badge or Brownie Points!

so really if your a true supporter you shouldnt buy one and buy tickets on the day, more money for the club, thats right by your logic isnt it?

I dont think you can as they are RL events

This is where it gets murky

The Challenge cup is an RL event so yes the clubs wouldn’t get a say in pricing etc,but and here’s where I get a litttle lost, the SL split and is now its own entity, the RL doesn’t seem to have any say in the matter of how it’s run etc (so they don’t get their hands on any tv deal I’d assume).

It seems to me since Elstone arrived and the split happened the club hide behind red hall for difficult decisions such as Falou and the salary cap, which of course is a farce if the chairmen wanted rid all they have to do is vote it gone and it’s gone.

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

What makes you think that the chairman would vote to get rid. The game can't afford to pay the players more, there's not enough revenue coming in.
Wigan and Saints have lost over £2 million each over the past three seasons accounts. Where do you think that money is going to come from?
