Smithies will come in and do 80 minutes leaving a spot open on the bench so I dont think it will hurt the team too much. But for both player and club it's the type of injury you can do without - completely unnecessary.

Just unfortunate with him being wrong footed. Hope he makes a quick recovery, not a good part of the body to injure.

Having accidentally done the same thing (and caught a good friend of mine in the eye) as HM whilst playing I’m very confident in saying it was an accident.

He was wrong footed as SOL stepped I stand instinctively stuck out an arm.
