Get rid. Causing more confusion than it's worth, both in the Caribbean and in South Africa at the moment.

Didn't like the idea at first, but was prepared to give it a chance. It just isn't working for mine

All it does is add a different opinion to the piece and confuse the standing umpire.

If it is going to continue, it should be specific questions only - did it carry, did he hit it, where did it pitch etc - rather than matters of opinion.

That was initially what I thought it was for, was there an inside edge etc. It does seem to be causing controversy although most of the decisions seem to be right from what I have seen and from what the laws state.

The decision should rest with the 3rd Umpire once it's referred IMO. The specific questions idea would be an improvement as well. I don't think it should be banished yet, but it certainly needs attention.

dont really know much about this rule but can't the batting side also appeal if they think they have had a harsh decision against them

Yes both sides have an equal number of appeals.
