After completing Crib Goch this weekend and noticing there was no thread for such activities I thought I may as well start one.
Any other routes people can suggest?
Tryfan?....well worth it if you havn`t been up there. Gordale Scar....decent walk. Ladybower resevoir....good walk with decent scenery. Scarborough to Whitby old railway line. 22 miles.
Obviously depends on where you live if you can reach these in decent time. Tryfan is a four hour drive for me,but well worth the effort.

Tryfan is not far from Betsw-y-Coed. Normal climbing o.k.,in other words ,no ropes. Gordale Scar,Peak district. Ladybower ,near Chesterfield. It is apparantly where the dambusters did their practice bombing before the raids on Germany.

A few of my pals have been up it a few times. Very tiring according to them.
snow conditions on snowdon were a little scary today.Lots of people were making their up and down all the paths
lots of lose snow just below the summit on the watkins pass made the final ascent a btad exciting it certainly made the adrenalin flow and the descent along the south ridge was really enjoyable.the weather conditions were excellent.
people were even going up Crib Goch.
should have gone up Kinder scout. Mind you a few roads were closed

We tried it on Sunday, got about half wayish and turned back, wind and snow was just too bad..... Although my mate did decide to skinny dip in the lake at the bottom for some bizarre reason.
