Rugby Union World Cup Venues : Mon Oct 08, 2012 5:08 pm
Pretty impressive eh? Very few club stadia and big premier league, football and national stadia! Olympic stadium too!

Ambitious, obviously expecting big crowds

Yup, big and ambitious. Unlike league, they will sell tickets for it, by hook or by crook, even if it meant 50,000 rent a fans being paid to do it.

Why have you posted this on the VT and not in Other Sports? You are aware that the 2000 RLWC staged matches at nationally located football stadiums and that was one of the major reasons that the tournament was such a disaster? Were you one of the posters complaining about the opening ceremony being held at the Millennium Stadium next year?

I've already asked if you are planning to attend any RLWC2013 matches after you made a similar unsubstantiated complaint on a different forum, and you declined to respond, which I take to mean that you won't be attending any matches. If that is the case, then you have no right whatsoever to make any criticisms at all about the tournament, the RFL or RL fans in general, because you are typical of the pathetic, self-defeating attitude that keeps the sport in the gutter.

How many do you think they would sell if Union fans had the same attitude that most RL fans do?
