Just one bet today.
Ikorodu Road 3:00 Newbury @ 7/1.
Been following Martin Keighleys yard for a while as I am quite close to one of the stable. The decision to take a break has been well documented and its paid off as the horses have come back firing which is a million miles ahead of where they were a month ago. Ikorodu should have won last time out at the track when clear but falling at the last. He has been entered up a few other races since then but the meetins have been abandonded. Raised 6lb for not winning a race isnt ideal, but hopefully he is in front of the handicapper and Newbury looks like its his favourite course. 7/1 BPG with Hills will do.
Benbane Head runs in the first race and if he ran up to his trainers expectations, he would win by 30 lengths. Sadly he hasnt fulfilled his trainers dream with two dissapointing runs this year, and well backed on both occasions. Read Keighleys blog this morning and he said it wasnt Bennys first choice engagement, but Morning Line reported a move for it this morning. I wont be backing it, as I want to see him run a race back to his old form first.
