Cracking result tonight, squad was so depleted we where really stretched.

Didn't play great result was the main thing, Tkny the shod had a great game at centre half, like a young Thuram!!!

Oh dear

You done well enough to win, Bily's effort off the post was a cracking effort, deserved a goal. Their first was good as well. Showed a lot of character to come back from behind, purple Aki done well but still doesn't look fully fit. Solid game, really.

what's the oh dear for Rob? Hibbert being compared to Thuram?

I think we deserved that, as you say you we showeda lot if character to come from behind tonight. Tough conditions, going behind to a great strike. Moyes was forced into his 442, ideally Rodwell would've been protecting the back four but very depleted and worked hard for the win. Yeah Yak put a decent shift but can tell he is still well of the pace, pits us in cracking position in the group.

Yeah One of the craziest comparisons I've seen in a long time. Congrats

Things are shaping up for you, the more big players you get back, the stronger you'll become. Bily looks quality, I'd seen him for Russia and thought he was good, but that was it, just good. He looks a classy player, versatile both positionally and in his style of play. With him, Arteta and Peanuts, you have a quality set of three there, will be interesting to see how Moyes will get them all playing together. Maybe move Arteta back to his central role of old?

Ok, maybe I was slightly OTT with the Thuram thing but he did have a really good game at CB.

nail on the noggin there Rob, finally now I am certain we will see Arteta back in the centre, by far his best position and with Bily on one side Peanuts on the other Arteta, in the middle with Cahill playing off Saha/Yakubu and Rodwell protecting the back four. Fellaini has worked so much better coming off the bench as an impact player and means Ossie can be used as a squad player. Just gutted when we have this quality of midfield and we are waiting months for them to play together.

Bily does look exceptional so far, thing is he has only played a handful of games and get better. I'm like you, had watched him a few times for Russia and wasn't sure what he would bring but he does look like a cracking player in the making. He can pick out a pass, he reads the game really well and his set pieces are fantastic.

Watching Banega tonight, and so far this season, I'm gutted we didn't get him in.

Everton did well to beat the Belarusians. Belarusian league teams are vastly underrated.

I thought Everton failed to master BATE in the first half, but the BATE boys deserved to be on top before heading down the tunnel at half-time.
