Just had a fiver on Gawaarib at Kempton, didn't run much of a race but was staying on.

Only had a fiver on Rocket Man just then as I don't want to end up at a total loss, only got my loss from Gawaarib back. Wasn't confident enough to put any more on, didn't have a clue who most of the horses or trainers etc were to be honest!


Had a cheeky fiver on Cool Mission as I wasn't sure Tarablaze was deserving of being so shortly priced, but jumped a lot better than last time over fences.

Had the favourite at Stratford in the 3.30, which won nicely, lost a bit on Pillgreen though so having to limit my stakes and still playing catch up.

Taking Mendip E/W in this one at Meydan.

Backed Tony Star before Kid Cassidy was withdrawn, thats why I didn't put it up.

Crap day. Good job I was in a decent profit after Cheltenham, but today has consumed a moderate amount of it.

Really need to remind myself not to bother between Cheltenham and Aintree, mainly poor horses over the jumps and the flat/AW is only really starting to attract the bigger stables.

To make things worse I had the last of todays money on Angels Pursuit, hoping the first time blinkers would do the trick. When I had originally picked Iver Bridge Lad (won).


Would like to see Twice Over win but it is a very wide open race. Can't back him at 2/1 in such an open race.

Rubi Ball looks quite interesting at Auteil tomorrow. Beat Long Run a couple of years ago.

Has some good form from last season in Group races over here and winning a Group 3 at Naas with ease, Manning has left her though which is a worry but at 12 shes a good E/W price I think on what shes done so far.

I was considering a Dunboyne - Flinty Bay (Hex) double.

Flinty Bay looks set to follow up after winning at Ayr, and has finished close in the places to a few decent horses such as Recession Proof and Backspin.

Only thing putting me off Dunboyne is his trainer said he has missed a bit of work due to the bad winter weather so isn't quite as forward as they would like.

Dunboyne seems friendless in the market, plenty of time til the off as well. Certainly all of the early money is for the Oxx horse.

Oxx has two being well backed History note being the other.

At 10/11 though am more then tempted by Dunboyne Express to slam them in this
