Where's the ambition in that you ask? Maybe the fact Dereck Chisora has shared the ring with the current WBC Heavyweight Champion and the former WBA heavyweight champion in his last two fights.

exactly, i think its khan who doesnt listen!

had the perfect plan v peterson and was winning the rounds then he changed his style and got beat.

same again v garcia..wanted a tear up because he promised to knock him out, garcias dad got in his head

Marcos Maidana dragged him to places he didn't want to go as well, but he toughed that one out and we all thought he'd turned a corner. Now that looks like a blip.

Khan got his tactics wrong and it's clear he abandoned the game plan, that's completly Khan's fault. I'm more concerned about his technical flaws which haven't been addressed. He still moves back in straightlines, and he lunges sometimes with his punches leaving himself open and off balance. His overall movement is poor and he tends to just stand there and cover up and allow his opponent to unload to the body (this is what happend against Peterson and Garcia). He's developed a great jab under Roach and his overall offensive is very good, but his defense is very poor, especially considering he's chinny.

Also Roach not being able to give Khan his full attention maybe be a problem.

I've heard a rumour that Khan is going to hire Nazim Richardson (Hopkins, Mosley's trainer) as a co-trainer to Roach. Riachardson wold train Khan when Roach is away with Pac in the Phillipines. Roach and Richardson have worked together before, the trained Hopkins for his fight against Calzaghe.

Temptation, greets you like your naughty mate,
The one that used to get you in bother,
But one that you could never bring yourself to hate.

You will not find a bigger fan of Carl Froch than me, but I do wish he'd keep his trap shut sometimes, especially regarding Amir Khan.

Don't blame Khan for that. Why walk back into the bear trap that very nearly chopped your leg off?

He was misquoted.

Carl Froch is furious with suggestions he encouraged Amir Khan to retire following his brutal fourth-round stoppage against Danny Garcia on Saturday.

Froch was interviewed by Radio 5 Live the morning after his British compatriot suffered the third professional defeat of his career.

Several media outlets reported the three-time super-middleweight world champion, who won the IBF crown with a stunning fifth-round stoppage of Lucian Bute in May, said Khan should think about retirement following the loss.

But the 35-year-old is determined to set the record straight after Khan said Froch "should keep his opinions to himself".

"I did an interview on Radio Five and my quote was taken out of context on the BBC website on their news pages," Froch told Boxing News.

"I didn't say 'If I was Amir I'd retire,' I said, 'If it was me, I'd retire.' I'm 35 years old, I'm three times world champion, if I'd have lost like that, I would have retired.

"I don't think Amir Khan should retire! That's ludicrous. Why would I tell a 25-year-old to retire?

"Now Amir Khan has read a false quote and come back and said something silly. But I don't hold that against Amir at all. He was just reacting to a misquote."

Froch, who is set to defend his title in November, has no ill feeling towards Khan and hopes he can bounce back from the upset defeat.

"Good luck to the kid, I'm behind him every time he steps in the ring," Froch added. "He's a British fighter and he does British boxing proud.

"The more world champions we've got it's better for our sport, it's better for the attention around what we do, around what I do for a living. We need Amir Khan to win titles, we need positivity around the sport. We don't need negativity and we don't need bad press."

Looks like Froch will fight either Pavlik or Tommy Oosthuizen in Nottingham on November 3rd or 10th.

Pavlik is a bigger name but he isn't in the top 10 at SMW. Oosthuizen is unbeaten in 19 with 13kos. He's defending his IBO title in America in August and is ranked in the top 10 by all of the main bodies. All I know about him is he's a tall south-paw from South Africa.

Framton vs Kiko Martinez is set for 22nd September in Belfast. And assuming Groves beats Sierra in America next week will fight Kenny Anderson agin in September.

Wha do we make of Kenny Anderson? Is he actually any good? The only black mark on his record is losing to Groves, who he put down, after stepping in short notice. He's never really fought anyone else, but he's number one contender for the British and Commonwealth, and I don't see many people rushing to fight him! A bit avoided perhaps? He looks like a right hard case, who throws with power, possible sluggish though and boxes in straight lines IMO. Still a dangerous opponent though.
