Rob Key looks to be making a good case for himself at the moment and the fact that he's a top order player will help his case to play at 3. The talk about Ramprakash is plain daft! the guy has always had a problem with the mentle side of the game so why anybody thinks we could throw him into a deciding Ashes test and expect him to take to it like a duck to Water is beyond me.
I think they need to look a little longer term and pick candidates they're likely to take to South Africa. I'd take Key on tour as back up opener and possible number 3 so i'd pick him in this game. I'd drop Bell and Bopara(Bopara a short term measure and Bell more longer term because he's another player with a fragile mind).
