Lets go through the card
2:10 - Ahtoug is the obvious pick however I like the look of
Julius Geezer who will absolutely love the ground today and has done well fresh, was thought of as a nice 2yr old and at 9's I think its worth a poke.
2:45 -
King Of Jazz - Won't be the best horse out of these in the future but this Hannon colt had a few nice runs as a 2yr old and with a spin out so far this season he's trained on and will improve from last time out.
3:20 - Another nice race here which includes a million pound horse in the shape of Treasury Devil who has a question mark over him as he came a distant last in the Grand Criterium and his initial form doesn't look that great, there's a fair few exposed types in this race, and therefore the hills and stoute horse interest me Captain Bertie ran a very good race on his second start and I expect plenty of good winners to come out of that and CB finally got a win at chester but my suspicions is that he'll need a lot further over time, and therefore I select
Tazahum this Al Maktoom owned 3yr old ran a nice race on debut when he was expected to go in, and then came 2nd to Dubawi Gold who has ran a few nice races this year, im assured also that this stoute horse has wintered well and will get imo and from info extremely close today.
3:50 - This race is aimed at those horses whom connections feel may be able to go to the derby and therefore it'll be a good race for the future, Dordogne showed a brilliant attitude last time out, whilst Auld Burns ran a nice race at newmarket for a shock win beating Measuring Time whom I feel will reverse the form here over a tougher track, Genuis Beast has claims but isn't for me, therefore ill select
Measuring Time each way.
4:25 - This fillies stakes race has some big yards going for this mile and a quarter race, and Rein Ne Vas Plus from the stoute yard has been supported in the markets but im told she's not fit, Arizona Jewel will be super nice in time and is an oaks horse but wont be asked for much on this ground, I don't like Micheal Bell as a trainer so swerving his pair, and therefore Im going for
Always The Lady, she ran a nice race at goodwood over the mile she has an oaks entry which shows the regard she's held in and this Clive Cox filly is a tentative selection.
4:55 - This handicap is again represented by all the top flat yards, the Varian (Jarvis) horse Dominant is being supported slightly in the books this morning, and a fair few have claims including the Al Zarooni colt Samurai Sword who made a nice debut at York, however the Henry Cecil trained
Glencadam Gold is expected to go in today, ran off a lenient mark last time out ran a nice race only raised 3lbs and has come on for that race I expect a big run. I advise to get on !
Good luck all;
