Just on the gangster threat issue.
Personally I don't have an issue with the Gerrard family protecting themselves as they did. They went to the police. They tried as best they could to do things in the right way, but the police were impotent to protect them. So they asked a favour from a friend and it was sorted.
But I do think if John Terry was the player being threatened, and he'd done the same thing, he wouldn't have got off easy like Gerrard has. He'd have been condemned for getting involved with gangsters.

Horrific day for Everton today. West Brom beat Chelsea and we go and embarrass ourselves at Reading. They need to be more ruthless, sounds like we again have about 20 good chances in the first half alone and went in only 1-0 up.

For the 1st time in years Blackburn are playing football thats good to watch.After BFS hoofball and whatever Kean was trying to get them to do it's taken a couple of weeks for Berg to get the team to pass to each other and keep the ball.If we can get a decent centre half to play with Dann in January and having a scorer like Rhodes upfront I can see us making a run in the second half of the season to get one of the 2 automatic promotion places.

Ferguson's unwillingness to buy a central midfielder is on par with Arsene Wenger's refusal to sign defenders for stubbornness. He's got enough forward options but most United games this season have resembled basketball games as there is just nothing in their midfield. |
