German TV keep replaying Rooney missing that goal. The more I see it the more I think he should have scored. Oh well.

Awesome. The USA winning gets me a free nights rental with Blockbuster Express.

Much, much better from England. Will need to have an even greater increase on that performance though if we're to progress.

Whoever signs Joe Cole get used to that standard of performance. Efan Ekoku said there wasn't much problem when he gave a dreadful pass to knock the ball dead for a goal kick as the ball was out of play and it would waste a few seconds. A few seconds later Glen Johnson was close to giving Slovenia a penalty.

I thought at the time that he 100% should have scored.

On seeing the replays it was shown that the keeper put the ball against the post, so that dropped it down to 99% for me.

Can't really understand how you need to see it time and time again for you to think he should have scored.

Course we did enough we won the game..

Slovenia were poor because we totally outclassed them for 80 odd minutes playing some terrifc football at times.

The last 10 minutes were a bit more nervous than they could have been with our failure to bag a 2nd goal...not through lack of effort or top drawer football though..

The togetherness in the team says to me we will go far in this competition...when it mattered we performed and got the result we needed.

I want Germany now because we will beat them...we will get more up for that game than any other and that will bring out the best in us...the better our opponents the better we will play as we go on IMO.

Why can't people celebrate the effort the lads put in and the result they achieved instead of trying to pick faults and have a go? It beggars belief to me!
