How good did David Luiz look tonight? I've not seen much of him before but he looks special. One of those continental defenders who is as dangerous and involved in the attacking as he is in the defending. The physical similarities to Sergio Ramos are obvious, but he plays like him too. If that's his debut in this country I can't imagine how good he's going to be once he's settled in.
As for the other expensive signing. I can honestly say I could have done better than he did tonight. The miss-control from the brilliant Luiz pass in the first half was just embarassing. Again tonight he simply wasn't good enough for a man they've spent £50m on. It's been that long since he's been in form I'm not convinced he can ever get it back. His touch just seems to have completely deserted him and the trademark razor-sharpness and acceleration has disappeared as well. He just doesn't look the same player he was a couple of years ago.
Luiz looked awesome, shame about the penalty that never was. He reminds me alot of Ricky C. Him and Ramires were the only 2 players who looked like they wanted to be there.
Im really starting to worry about our midfield. Lamps and Essien look like 2 mid table CM not 2 world class players. We desperatley need a player who can feed a pass to cut the defence.
