I guess by the lack of replays that folks don't agree that those in charge of the swimming team have questions to answer about their performances.

It appears many of them haven't been able to cope with the expectation of a big home crowd. The major disappointment is the number who haven't even been close to their PBs.

Maybe a spell in the US collegiate system should be mandatory for our elite young swimmers?

I do agree....massive under achievement by the swimmers,maybe following the cyclists lead and having a dedicated centre to train in and live near will benefit them...if they ont want to do it then they lose their funding like the cyclists have to.

Also intresting to see that normal service has been resumed in the athletics and the excuses for Dai Green being trotted out...he simply wasnt good enough like the other events we didnt qualify in but wont be mentioned as they won 3 golds,which,with the amount of funding they get is a poor return.

You say that like it's abnormal. Well, perhaps you're right and that's a sad indictment of many other presenters/pundits. Personally, I won't go near a radio mike before I know what I'm on about - like the game I'm covering tomorrow featuring Barcelona B. No Pedia will be left un-wikied.
