That's what was said before the World Cup in South Africa. That will be said before the World Cup in Brazil.

I'm just glad that no one gets killed in Britain, and that English football has a blemish free record when it comes to deaths surrounding the game.

Hosting international tournaments in places like Qatar/rich middle eastern countries is about the only place I'd object to playing one. With enough planning, investment and good behaviour, an international tournament could be a success pretty much anywhere. I'm glad for Poland and Ukraine, I think the tournament will go well providing they plan well and police it will. If it ends up being a chuffing riot then Uefa will learn their lesson.
