Good win but the batsmen at times are beyond belief. They let too many balls go y or play a forward defensive shot. Oh and I thought Mascherenas was supposed to be a big hitter, I hardly saw a shot in anger. Still a win against the Windies and we are in the semi's.

It stll seems that England's batting is entirely dependant on how Pietersen goes. But the bowling was excellent.

The side as a whole look incredibly nervous when batting and don't seem to have a plan of where to hit and how to pace an innings.

The bowling is going fairly well however - wasn't sure about bringing Sidebottom in for Rashid but it turned out to be a master stroke.

That stumping of Yuvraj was the best piece of keeping in the tournament, bar none.

Have to say that was absolute world class keeping. I can see why on that evidence people would like him in the test side.

Problem with that however, is that his batting isn't good enough for him to come in and bat at 6 or 7 as Prior does IMO.

I know, that's the problem. Even more so if they try and put Flintoff into the side at 6 with Foster at 7, the batting would be too weak.

I've heard it said a few times since the game that England are the new Pakistan, you simply don't know what side will turn up. That was the first game I've seen in the tournament, so I can't really comment, but judging by the results I can see what they mean.
