Some of the names banded about to replace the two departed are funny. Paul Merson anyone? Steve Claridge? No? How about Jamie Redknapp and the sports guy from Radio One? Chappers or whatever his name is?

Get some fit women in to do it I say, they can then have a 'special' guest every week.

With Rodwell sat on the bench who we could flog to Manchester United in a heartbeat and the likes of Baines (Spurs), Neville (Spurs), Fellaini (Spurs) and Arteta (Spurs ) who would easily attract buyers, I can't see how it's possible.

i like merse, but he's not exactly articulate, looked to be struggling tonight

jamie is literally eye candy - Gullit, Souey and the like seem to treat him with contempt

alan smith is ok, but dull.

If he'd said this on TV he'd deserve to be fired. No doubt about it. But an off-air comment between blokes talking about women? No way do you go for that. Be a man and stand up for yourself.

The only men who don't talk about women like that are gay.

I have never ever heard a bloke talk about having sex with a woman as , "smash it", Ever. What does it mean seems a bit more like a physical assault.

He did say it on TV and in public though, it might not have been broadcast but 3 other pundits, cameramen, lighting assistants, sound engineers, producers, editors all would have heard it. All the pundits looked a bit embarrassed and seemed to know it was beyond the Pale. Keys lack of awareness however seems to suggest it was not unusual behaviour from him.
