Looks tidy, doesn't he? Can't wait to see him once we start getting it to him down that inside left channel, that's where he'll score the majority of his goals, although, as shown today, he has a lot more to his game than just goals.
As for the entire game, I thought we got our tactics spot on, whilst Fergie got his badly wrong. Why did he play Michael Carrick? Carrick is a solid player, but Fletcher's industry would have suited the game far more. Fergie seemed to think his team would turn up, have the majority of the possession and we'd be under the cosh for most of the game. We weren't, though, we completely bypassed your midfield, Suarez and Kuyt were getting it to their feet time and time again, which allowed us to hold it up and play it to the supporting players. When you have a severely weakened defence like United had, you want your midfield to play close to them and protect them, but, again, Fergie seemed to ignore this and seemed to treat it as a home game.
As for some of the talking points, I thought Carragher should have been sent off, poorly timed and executed challenge. Rodriguez was lucky to get away with the high foot on Rafael. Other than that, there didn't seem to be too much else to talk about.
Just another point, I know it's an endless debate, but Berbatov is simply too lazy for big games. He's a class act, but he reminds me of Ibra in the way that he has almost every attribute needed, but his work rate stops him from maximising the talent. He's 6ft+, has decent pace, fantastic touch and he's creative, but he plays as though he's 5ft and running in treacle. If he just threw himself about a bit more and asked more questions of the defence, he'd be almost unstoppable, but he doesn't, and it results in games like today, where I thought he was a passenger for long periods.
