Apparently booted Perch after the ball had gone so Perch reacted by raising his hands - both were sent off.

Sounds like what Ricardo Fuller did to Joey Barton on Saturday come to think of it, although Barton didn't raise his hands in retaliation. Nice to see MOTD being biased as usual and not showing the incident as well as the FA who obviously can't be arsed to review it either.

Unfortunately these things happen in football see David Busst who never played again, the tackle was a 50/50 ball and Evans was well within his rights too challenge for and win the ball. Both players went in studs up and Holden came off worse both players could have seen red but i think the refs decisision was made up for him after seeing blood. As i've said it should have been a red card but refs are so inconsistant with there decisisions you can feel hard done by when Carragher gets away with a potential leg breaker only a few weeks before.

That team will probably beat Wales, but what an awful side that is. Not saying you have bad taste, it's as good as we can play, but it shows up how poor the standard is.

Agreed. We have no real footballers in the midfield. By that I mean players who have a great touch and footballing brain. Gerrard and Lampard are okay, but they're players that'll bomb forward. Not players in the Iniesta, Cesc, Nasri mould. We're also awful up front. Rooney being a shadow of his former self, and this years version of Michael Ricketts isn't international standard.

The England soccer team has been of a poor standard for many a year now.
