Robbie Rotten. World class goalkeepers who United could realistically sign. I want names.
Depends on what type of goalkeeper you want, really. (I'm basing these on people that could be available) Purely on shot stopping, you'd be looking towards Akinfeev. On size and aerial strength, you'd probably be looking at Diego Lopez at Villarreal. Somebody young with lots of potential, you would probably say de Gea at Atletico (although I did really like the look of Asenjo before he went there). There have been rumours Buffon may be available, I doubt it, but as an experienced head to keep things going, he'd be a great shout. Another shout would be Frey, but both have sadly suffered injuries.
Still, if I was Fergie, I'd go for Diego Lopez at Villarreal. I've mentioned him a lot on here but I think he's a top shot stopper, whilst he has great physical presence to be trusted on corners/crosses. Can probably see Fergie going for one of the young European hot shots, though, probably Adler, Neuer or de Gea.
Can't really pick one out, there's plenty to pick from, but if he's looking for somebody similar to VDS (tall, commanding and experienced), then I'd maybe swerve a few of the youngsters and go for the full package.
