I don't think he swore to the camera after the Algeria game to be honest, so it's a bit different.

He definitely swore, maybe not directly into the camera, but it was definitely visible.
I just don't know how they can ban him for it when it's not 100% clear what he exactly said. It looks like he said the F word a couple of times but with his aggression and accent its very hard to make it out.

What a joke, the FA are absolutely clueless. Rooney out of the sembo now which is concerning.

This is 100% because they couldn't get him on the elbow.

Don't worry about the consistency aspect, it doesn't make any difference to the FA.

Won't disagree with that, i believe it was 'Nice to hear your own fans booing ya, that's loyal support'' (turned away from the camera and mouthed F words so they weren't audible). He should know better not to do that to be fair, but a 2 match ban for that is just pathetic.

UEFA did Drogba for swearing at the camera after the Barca semi.

If you want to talk about consistency, how deafening is the silence over Vidic not getting a second yellow when he earned it?

When Luiz got away with it against United it was the issue of the week. United had been robbed and it was all down to refereeing. But United get the benefit of a similar decision and everything is fine.

I agree Vidic should have walked but the reason it is not being talked about is because of the Rooney.

The potential ban for swearing is OTT. A ridiculous decision TBH. A fine and a slap on the wrist would suffice. I guess this is some kind of retribution following the elbow on McCarthy.

Surprised United fans haven't mentioned David Bernstein being chair of the FA

When did every foul become an automatic yellow card when a player has already been booked? If he wasn't already on a yellow that foul would never even have got a mention.

As for Rooney, maybe he should've shot someone or chucked darts at a youth team player instead. That seems ok in todays footballing circles.

Also, if it was such a bad example to youngsters etc, why did sky still decide to show the incident despite having a 3 second delay in place from when it happened to it being broadcast?
