Does Benitez have the strength / power to overrule the owners'/Chief Exec's decision? A bit like Fergie could tell Gill that Ronaldo wasn't for sale and therefore, he wasn't leaving.
Well I don't think we're in a position where we have to sell key players, so I don't see why the board would overrule his decision. I'm sure one of the key reasons he signed the new deal was due to him having more control, more of an impact on the decisions being made at the top. From what I've read about his new deal, Benitez finally has similar powers to those of Ferguson and Wenger at their current clubs, so I guess if Rafa wants to keep Masch, Rafa keeps Masch.
He was probably England's best player. He or Johnson anyway, nobody else played that well TBH.
There was only Rooney's second goal that didn't come from an Andorran mistake.
He done well, was a little predictable in the way he played, but it seemed everybody was tonight. It's hard to impress against such garbage negativity, they were like Stoke, only they couldn't really defend.

I'm thinking of moving to Andorra for a few years to get citizenship, I wouldn't mind a crack at their team. Even if it's just as waterboy, I'm sure its whole population were either on the field or bench tonight.

Anybody hear Clive's interesting fact about the life span of the Andorran's?
Seemed like half of their team were OAP's or students, I'm sure a young'un like yourself could show 'em a few tricks from the 5-a-side game
Anyway, after my first pre-season training session tonight (for 11-a-side) my calf is f*cked, damn alcohol and takeaways.
Highest average life span of any country in the world, so you could well exceed somebody like Maldini in your career, even on a diet of alcohol and takeaways

Get in there.
I did hear that the players all had full time jobs (and one that didn't even have a club ), which means they're not full time footballers = no training and no strict diets etc. Perfectttt. Where can I get a flight from?
Crouch got into the England side because he played for Liverpool.
He was wa*k tonight. For a tall man he has virtually no heading ability and his close control beggars belief. I think most of us on here could have scored his goal and apart from that he managed to look clumsy and inept - even more than usual.
He got nutmegged by a cross from a team mate FFS.
Get rid now before he embarasses us in SA.
