Even though we havent done bad of late, our inconsistant batting prevents us from being a world top 2 test team. As for Rashid he will get his chance in time. I still think he needs to improve his bowling a touch to be a test bowler. But at the moment Swann is the man.

So the only way Rashid is going to get anything like a run in the side is if Swann suffers a serious injury.

Even if he was picked ahead of Swann in Bangladesh, took ten wickets and made a century he still wouldn't be in the first Test side of the summer.

I don't completely understand all this talk of Rashid. Yes he has excellent potential but it has to be realised and whilst he is doing okay his bowling form for Yorkshire hardly demands he picked for the Test side especially when Swann is bowling so well.

I am not suggesting Darren Gough is the gospel, but on talksport last night he was insistent that if you won the toss it was a pitch to bowl on.

Some people thrive on the big stage and he undoubtably has talent. He has to be given a chance at some point. I agree when he's played the odd one dayer he has hardly covered himself in glory.

100-4 - lunch

Colly has at times been a run a ball, which is in stark contrast to his last inngs, fingers crossed on him and Bell staying together for a good while yet!

Reading test match txt on BBC and they are going potty about Cooks dismissal and now are saying that the saffers are pushing the laws abit....Appealed for a carch and he dropped it and rolled over it twice.
