I did have a slight chuckle last week when the two females who had won a rowing gold were asked 'is rowing an elitist sport then'? This interview was taking place by the riverside at Eton Dorney, and the two women in question were sipping tea from a teacup and saucer combination

What a fantastic end to the games for GB, a Silver in the final event of the games bring the total GB medals to 65!

Started watching the closing ceremony hoping it would be a good watch like th eopening one bu my god it has been awful viewing for me......has beens who cant sing, modern day artists who cant sing and now its just turned into an hour of real radio !! Garbage ------ really enjoyed these games but this sh!te has ended it on a bit of a downer for me .

a lot of the music wasn't for me but the aim was to put on a bit of a party, and as a spectacle it was pretty good. having said this elbow, ray davies, the who, and the lennon bit were all spot on
