City have certainly "lost" over Tevez and I really wish he wasnt playing. But I'm glad that the club didnt allow him to exploit the situation for his financial benefit. I dont think it could be said that he has "won". He has lost several millions and he still hasnt been able to engineer his preferred move. He's not the greatest advert for player power. But it will take more than one club, no matter how wealthy, to end it.

I would say neither the club or Tevez have won. And agree that it will take more than one club to end the current player power in the game, however still think a harsher stance over Tevez could possibly have started something. Not sure I have heard of this rule about players in the reserves being able to walk away from their contract, although it could explain why Utd have been playing Pogba more recently. Although you know the game is in a bad state when younger players who have yet to break into the first team are having trying to hold clubs to ransom over contracts.

They are a threat to everyone with hearing. They are a threat to anyone who dislikes hypocrisy. They are a threat to anyone who owns property.

They are vile, deluded creatures and all right thinking people are happy to see them struggle.

A multi-million pound businesses being held to ransom by a teenager? Give over.

Oh, me too.

Some of Reina's and Carroll's (alleged) language was choice to say the least. To be fair to the world's greatest keeper, at least he didn't aim it at his own bench.

They bring it on themselves though by throwing stupid money at these youngsters in the first place. Man City have just paid us £40k for a lad from our U9s. I wonder what they've given his parents? If he turns into a good player, he'll be demanding big money and the Club wouldn't really have a leg to stand on having paid that amount of money for him at the age of 8.

Valencia's the key man. I'm no United fan but he's the best winger at the club and has been for some time. No coincidence that when it comes to the business end of the season Valencia is a permanent fixture in the first team.

The most remarkable thing about Man United this season is that they have done it without Vidic for pretty much the entire season, it would be interesting to see how City would do with no Kompany for a similar length of time.

Why are so many soccer managers especially at the top level Scotch?

Do these dimwit soccer people think they are all like Alec Ferguson?
