Rugby League in Australia is the leading sport when it comes to being the most open sport, Australian RL was the first code out here to pick an aboriginal to play for Australia back in the 1900's, we were also the first code to have a player captain their club of aboriginal decent in a Grand final, we were also the first code to have an aboriginal captain and lead their country to a World cup victory.

Australia and Rugby League are also the proud code to have Moaris play against our national team 100 years ago with no disrespect and nothing but praise.

It's why Australia can have a National All Stars game with Aboriginal players in every position play against the worlds best, no other sport out here can claim that.

Watched the French rugby union grand final today live on Catalan television and wasn't very impressed. Very scrappy and some basic errors. Clermont were the better side and at times it felt like they were dragging USAP around the field.
I'd also wager that it's a positive for Catalans as another title for USAP could have made further inroads into their support base and media coverage... or not.
