I know but we've beaten you twice this year, and both games have been on the back of us out-working you above all other departments we done better than you in, same with Chelsea.
It's based on the two games this season, the only real way we can make a direct comparison between the two sides, and both times we've come out on top, mainly because we've got the better in midfield and 'hussled' you out of the game. You're a top side and barely do you get 'bullied' in midfield, rarely do you get out-hussled and rarely do you get out-worked, I've not seen you in every game this year, but from what I have seen, we're the only team who have really matched, and even bettered your work rate, in my opinion.
And what have you got to show for it? You're in third place and out of the FA Cup. You went out of the Carling Cup to Tottenham, who Man United beat in the final.
You're having your best season in years. Chelsea are having their worst in years, and we're still ahead of you. Man United have struggled to match their heights of last year, but they've gone to Asia and won the World Mickey Mouse Cup, they've won the Carling Cup, are in the semis of the FA Cup and they are in pole position to win the league again.
There's also the fact that as you've drawn twice as many games as United, you will have had to work hard to try and gain wins from those games. Man United won't have had to fight to win similar games because they've had the quality to win them comfortably.
FA Cup semi-finalists are 4 of the PL top 6...does this signify a return of the big clubs respecting the competition more or is it easy paths to the semi's??
For what it's worth I think the majority of the top clubs respect the FA Cup and want to win it every year, it's the ones struggling against relegation from the PL who show it less respect.
Anybody else agree that Wenger is an absolute love'wit, how he can say that's a goal is beyond me, as for Fabregas I can imagine hime doing something like that, didn't the naughty person have a pop at Mark Hughes a few years back.

I struggle to understand what point you're making that is relevant to how hard a side works?
As I said in my comment on the first page, I wasn't gloating, it was just an interesting debate. I'm not trying to say we're the best, that we have something to show for our work rate or anything like that, as I don't believe we've been good enough to win any competition domestically.
I'm not trying to say we're the best, and I'm not saying we have something to show for it, it was just a debate that Enfield Exile brought up about United being the hardest working side in the league, and I was curious to see if his - or anybody else's - opinion may have changed since the weekend, when considering our result against them earlier this season.

Fabregas told Hughes that he should be ashamed at the style of football produced by Blackburn, especially as he was once a Barca player. A tad disrespectful, IMO.

Didn't he say something like "you played for Barcelona once, that wasn't Barcelona football" or something like that?
Just bringing up a topic from a few weeks back by Enfield Exile.
After seeing the game at the weekend, and the game at Anfield earlier this year, do you still feel United are a harder working team than us? I know I said we work harder off the ball, but after seeing the weekend I'm struggling to think of a harder working team than us, I'd love to see if there was a team that covers more ground than us, and that was without one of our hardest workers - Alonso.
I'm not gloating here, I just thought it was an interesting debate, and I'd be interested to hear if your views have changed...
My views haven't changed, fella. United may have been out-played at the weekend, mainly because of the hardwork that the Liverpool players put in, but I still believe that they are the hardest working team in the country. It's easy to use one or two examples, to justify your point. For example, United worked harder against City at Eastlands this season than Liverpool did in either of their two games against us this season.
Liverpool had much more to play for this weekend. United appeared a bit lacklustre and lax. No-one can blame, as they pretty much have the title sewn up.
