Rodgers isn't elite in my eyes because he hasn't done enough in his career yet, maybe in a year or 2 he might be. Be honest, if GB were in the superbowl and you could pick any QB to drive you down the field to win it would you pick Rodgers? I'd take the Mannings, Rivers, Brady, Roethlisberger and Warner ahead of him at the moment.

Yep, i'd pick Rodgers. He is excellent on 3rd downs, (highest completion percentage in the league IIRC), rarely turns it over and can make plays running.
The other guys have more game winning drives obviously and experience, and they deserve credit for that, but Rodgers can win us games. He can lead game winning drives and i'd pick him to lead us on one in the SB.
He is already as good as those guys there is no reason why he couldn't do it. The only reason you'd pick anybody else is for previous experience, in which case i'd take Favre, but how else does a player gain experience without actually doing it.
Again, totally disagree he hasn't done enough but it doesn't seem like we will agree on this. He's been a top 5 QB for two years, since day one of his starting career. If that isn't enough then i don't know what is.
Or is it just the length of his career....in which case Chris Johnson on pace to break the rushing yards record cannot be elite.

QB is a position like no other in sports though. Take my beloved Eli for example he went on the road to Tampa, Dallas and Green Bay and won and still gets grief. Sometimes it isnt all about the stats, it's about clutch play and how to handle massive pressure. That is something that can never be shown on a stat sheet.

Lets agree to disagree, QB and RB can't be compared in this manner IMO as the skill sets required differ greatly

Totally agree. I despise Eli but he is clutch.
I also agree that Rodgers hasn't shown this yet, but that is the ONLY thing he hasn't shown so far in his career, for the reason that he hasn't really been in a position to do so, mostly because of other factors.
The only comparative is 3rd down completion which is a pressure situation, obviously ridiculously less so that what your saying for Eli admittedly, but A-Rod is good at that.
Rodgers can do everything the other guys can, he has pressure being the successor to the best QB of all time on his shoulders also, and he is excellent so there is no reason to think when the situation arises he won't be "Clutch".

Anyway, I was bored so I just watched the 4th qtr of the Bucs/Pacs game from a few weeks back. Rogers looked poor under pressure in that game which led to the pick6 that put the game away for us.
I think we have a big win coming this weekend too. Over the past month Saints game apart we have looked pretty good and have been unlucky not to come away with 3/4 instead of 1/4. I think we will turn up Sunday and beat down the Panthers. Freeman is learning game on game and our D looked much better now Morris has taken over the play calls.

His and our worst game of the year. 3 of his 5 INT's came in the game. Credit to Tampa for the pressure but our line was appauling that game.
