Is it possible on this game to ask a player to try and improve his weaker foot?

Got FM09 last week. Started as Tottenham, not sure why. Got sacked midway through the season. The players lost confidence in my ability (they never had any as my previous experience was set as Sunday League footballer!). After that I got offered the Brentford job, realised 4 games in that it was an almost impossible job so resigned!

I then got offered the Leyton Orient job after Leicester poached their manager. 3 games left when I joined and they were in a play-off place, which I secured and got beaten in the semi. The off-season saw me sign 11 players including Akpo Sodge, Jermaine Easter, Richard Garcia, Seyfo Soley and Jay McEveley. The players are settling in now and as well as securing a 3-2 away win in the LC at Crystal Palace I sit handily placed 4 points off the lead, my counter attacking style bagging me a stack of goals away from home especially. Akpo Sodje is looking far too good for L1.

Using a 4-2-1-2-1 with wingers supporting the lone frontman, which I've found is the only system that works consistenly. The tactical side seems to be much harder this time.

Well I've started a new game after the 9.0.2 patch and taken over at Newcastle. 14 games into the season and I'm unbeaten in all competions and top of the premiership table by a point. Sold Shola Ameobi to WBA for £2mil and brought in Thiago Silva (DC) and Nigel de Jong (DM,MC)

Using an attack system 4-4-2 with the wingers pushed forward into an AML/AMR role and the right MC dropping back to be a DM

My results include 5-2 win against Man City, 2-1 win against Chelsea (trailing 0-1 at half time) and 5-1 against Liverpool

Not that I'm bragging or anything

I've always thought about that myself. I also wonder if it's possible for players to improve hidden attributes, like do things like consistency, ambition, dirtyness and sportsmanship improve with age? Or go down after fines? Or are they permanent stats?

o_o the UEFA Cup is messed up in my game, in the groups there's something very strange happened, in the same groups there are:

2 German Teams
2 French Teams
2 Dutch Teams

And then what is surely the nightmare group:

3 Spanish teams & 2 Italian Teams

Just wondering if this has happenes to anyone else.

Group C:
Manchester City
Ac Milan
Aston Villa
Everton
Udinese

3 English, 2 Italian

Group F:
Sevilla
Portsmouth
Racing
Rangers
Valencia

3 Spanish, 2 British

After resisting (or missing out on) selling Ferdinand and/ or Evra in the Summer transfer window, by the end of January 2010, Ferdindand (31, Fiorentina £24M) and Vidic (28, Inter, £34.5M) had left. Be interesting how i carry on but with bringing players in for the reserve/under 18's team, will work out in long term.

I've been a fan of the FM series recently over the past few years but 08 was a bit of a disappointment and wasn't the best one. Is 09 improved and makes you want to carry on playing it?
