backed carlton house last night, wasnt confident about it but had a little bit for interest. rolled that onto worthadd, as well as my bet on the fugue

place money on fugue but the best horse got beat. buick didnt get her in any sort of position early on, then there was a lot of banging and clattering going on so he dropped her back to nearly last and flew home when she got headway.

backed the abbey for tomorrow.

Had my biggest bet for years on The Fugue yesterday. Bloody furious with Buick's ride, and even more so with his excuse afterwards that he 'got trapped'

was lost after 2/3 furlongs! met too much trouble in running, to be fair did well to get as close as he did

i think buick is a brilliant rider though

yeah the muddling pace cost a lot of them vital ground, just one of those unfortunate things i suppose. credit to heffernan for keeping Was out of the way. what a crap name for a classic winner though, seriously.
