Kuyt on Hibbert? You mean his kung fu kick when he missed? Think that was Chuckle Neville.

I don't think he's officiated an Everton or Liverpool game since?

Oh yes, I remember it well.
After all the furore of Liverpool getting a place, the bluenoses then blamed PierLuigi Collina for their CL qualifying exit against Villareal.
They then went into the UEFA Cup first round and got dicked 5-1 by Dinamo Bucharest!

If he didn't go off the radar and utterly fail himself, he'd probably be the best player I've ever seen, but, I just think Zidane's longevity and ability to be the best for so long made him that much better. IMO anyway, 'Dinho could still turn a corner and revive some of the old magic, but I don't think he'll ever be able to produce it consistently or on the biggest stage.

| Quote JWP="JWP"You can't be serious. Ronaldinho isn't in the same class as Zidane. He literally ran games for club & country. Ronaldinho was anonymous for long periods then could just inject himself into a game with a moment of brilliance, he was a smiling Matt Le Tissier.

As I said 'The smile, the laugh, the effortless skill.' I'm not saying he's the best player ever to put on a pair of boots, but he's one of the players I've most enjoyed watching.

There's a vid of him on Youtube vs United, just a full video of highlights of him in a game against United. It's one of my favourite Youtube football videos, not only because it's against United, but because it basically shows why Zidane was so good without loadsa flashy editing and so on.
The one you're talking about is against Leverkusen, though, I remember it very well, one of my favourite goals ever.

Van Basten's against USSR in 1988 European Championships final for me.
The reactions of Vanenburg and Michels are gold.
