Nothing more than what happens in your average Sunday League game.

The guy plays the game how it should be played, don't know why people seem to object to this.

Sergio Ramos isn't a defender.
Chris Morgan is.

Get where I'm coming from?

And what are were these 'rather ridiculous demands'?

Supposedly more than what he was on at Newcastle.

True or not, i made this point on another message board. We've got a lot of fans bemoaning the little transfer activity going this pre-season, they've been busy ringing and texting Sportstalk demanding the chairman do this, do that etc. However, it's become obvious to some of us with an ounce of sense that the chairman isn't prepared to spend stupid amounts of cash on players' excessive demands, and is looking to run City on sound business principles. Now this may well mean we get relegated this season, but the sound financial footing the club finds itself on will stand us in good stead in the long run. Hell, in a perverse sort of way, i'd love to become a bit like West Brom, up and down. It would sure as hell beat being like Charlton, Leeds or Newcastle (sorry Ash).

If players like Beye keep finding teams to pay their supposed inflated wages, then good luck to them. But i can't help but feel those days are coming to an end. You only have to look at Portsmouth's recent troubles for a bad example of how to chase the impossible dream. Sunderland are £70million in debt and still continue to spend wedges of cash and for what? To finish 12th?

The inevitable meltdown moves ever closer.

Sensible post, Was is true that Hull were the only club to make a certain profit last year? I remember seeing it on sky sports news. If Hull do manage to stay up this year on this wage bill, it will do wonders for the clubs finances.

Even if they go down, there's Parachute money to use.

Should we become a yo-yo club, then at least it maintains some interest, although becoming "the new Coventry" would certainly keep things lively!

Brown trousers and bicycle clips time, on the field at least.

If that's from the HDM, I wouldn't believe it.

Are you sure he actually even held talks with Hull?

Just watched the highlights from the Man Utd vs Valencia game.

Cant fault Owen's runs and thinking, but jeez, he didn't half miss some chances.

The first game of the season at Norwich. They lose 7 - 1 and two fans throw their season tickets towards the manager.
